Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League Zone A ends today with three matches at three different venues.

There will be a double header at Camp Toyoyo Grounds where Soccer Sisters who have had a rough season will be welcoming Soccer Queens from 1pm.

This will be a tough outing for Sisters who are languishing at the bottom of the table while Queens are third.

In their last fixtures, Soccer Queens picked a 2-0 win over Gaspo Women while Soccer Sisters suffered a 5-3 defeat to Spedag.

Commenting on the match, Soccer Queens coach Amos Kimani  said he was looking for an improved performance from last season’s where his side finished in the fourth place.

“This will be a good match for us to finish in the third place, an improved performance from last season.

“We had challenges last week when Thika Queens were awarded a walkover because most of our players were away, but we managed to pick a win against Gaspo and we are looking forward to our last match that will be key for us,” he said.

In another match that starts at 3pm, Thika Queens, the defending champions who are leading the table with 29 points from 11 matches will play against Gaspo Women as they seek to maintain their unbeaten run this season.

The champions posted a 6-3 win over Makolanders in the last match at Camp Toyoyo to cement their stay at the summit of the standings ahead of rivals Spedag.

As it stands, the Richard Kanyi-coached side has already secured a place in the play-off following their win against Gaspo Women and their last match of the season will be a formality as they seek maximum points this season.

“The girls have really done well this season considering the fact that we have not lost a single match. Our big win against Makolanders was great because we needed the points to stay ahead of Spedag,” he said.

Spedag will be home to Mombasa Olympic in another fixture set for Mombasa Sports Club from 3pm.
