Football Kenya Federation(FKF) women premier league zone B side Oserian Ladies coach Hudson Odari has cried foul after waking up to a rude shock following information that their season fixture against Eldoret Falcons has been suspended.

Despite Oserian winning 8-0 in their match played at Oserian Stadium on Sunday, the result does not reflect on the current table standing that was sent to clubs on Monday evening.

The resounding win at home could have propelled the Naivasha-based side to the summit of the table standing with 31 points, the same number of points with Vihiga Queens but the former has a better goal difference of two, but as it stands, Queens are still topping the league after Oserian match was suspended.

According to Odari, the whole confusion came in when the two sides had different fixtures to the season ender encounter. Falcons’ fixture indicated that they were supposed to play on Sunday while Oserian’s fixture had the match set for Saturday.

“This is not fair at all. How can the federation suspend our match and as far as I am concerned we played and we won the match. We are supposed to be at the top of the table standing. If we are in the second place, it means we have a game in hand and that is wrong. The match was played and we have not been given points. Where is fair play applied here,” said Odari.

The mail sent to clubs accompanying fixtures indicated: “Note: Zone B result between Oserian Ladies FC and Eldoret Falcons has been suspended ,further communication will be shared within the shortest time possible,” Commenting on the issue, FKF Deputy President Doris Petra who is also the chair of women football committee said she received a call from the said clubs about the fixture.

“Falcons said their fixture indicated that they will play on Sunday and they were to travel on Saturday for the match while Oserain fixture indicated that they were to play on Saturday.

I consulted and we agreed that the match will be played on Sunday. The email that was sent to clubs is on point and let’s wait for the outcome,” she said. According to the fixture seen by Feverpitch, Oserian match against Eldoret Falcons was slated for Saturday at 1pm the same time for the match pitting Vihiga Queens and Nyamira County Starlets at Mumias Complex.

Queens were awarded a walkover when their opponents failed to show up and the controversy of match fixing allegations kicked off when Oserian match was not played on Saturday. The matter is still being handled by FKF and the outcome will be out.
