Man caught in the act with neigbor’s wife, slammed Ksh. 3700 penalty

However said that dating someone's wife is suicidal was right. One man in Sasuri village, Mayanja, in Bungoma County has been fined Ksh.3700 by elders after he was caught direct in the act with his neighbor’s wife.

It is alleged that Nyongesa famously known as Ng’ombe, was caught on Tuesday night at 12.00 midnight in love escapades by the husband Malikobo, a watchman in Bungoma town after he was informed of the illicit affair between his wife and Mr. Nyongesa and laid a trap.

According to the neighbor Mr. Mukasiali, Mr. Malikobo informed his wife, Resor that he was reporting to his normal duties only to resurface after some hours.

“He told his wife that he was reporting to work but he was laying a trap secretly” said Mukasiali.

His worst fears were confirmed when he found his neighbor right in the act with his wife. He was angered by the incident and wanted to slash him with a panga before neighbors intervened. “I can’t stand this, this is a disgrace to me” he said.

The matter was reported to the village elder Mr. Wekesa where the meeting was called between the two warring sides, where they reached an agreement and resolved on Ksh.3700 as a penalty that would be used for “cleansing” according to Bukusu traditions.
