A Catholic priest has differed with calls by the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops to stop planned political rallies.

Fr Ambrose Kimutai Tonui of Sekemik Parish said the rallies do not fan hate, as claimed by the Bishops, adding that it is Government's failure that has led to ethnic divisions and violence.

“It's Government's failure to implement the TJRC report that has put the country in its current situation," he said.
