CORD accused of plan to run down Government

Kenya: Jubilee leaders from Murang’a have claimed CORD’s unending demands are a ploy to destabilise the nation.

They said CORD Leader Raila Odinga should list down solutions to challenges he outlined as facing the nation and approach President Uhuru Kenyatta over the same.

Led by Governor Mwangi Wa Iria and Senator Kembi Gitura, the leaders said Raila should stop intimidating the nation by giving unending conditions while he still demands for a national dialogue.

They spoke at Mukerenju Anglican Church in Kandara constituency where CMC Chairman Joel Kibe represented President Uhuru Kenyatta in a funds drive that raised Sh11 million for building the church. President Kenyatta sent Sh1 million.

The leaders who included MPs Alice Wahome (Kandara), Mary Wambui (Othaya) and County Woman Representative Nyokabi Gathecha challenged Raila to offer solution to issues instead of calling for demonstrations and mass action.

Mr Wa Iria said Kenyans should ignore threats by CORD and remain patriotic and continue exploring opportunities in various fields.
