Is 40 the new 20?

 The local and international media are awash with beautiful and successful women aged 40 and above looking young and fresh. It seems as if 40 is the new 20, as more women defy societal expectations to settle down, have children, party and engage in major career shifts much later in life.

Roseline, a 43-year old high school teacher in Nyeri, took leave and travelled to Nanyuki in search of the perfect location for her wedding. She had the ultimate setting in mind, having attended numerous weddings. In many clubs she visited, the planners assumed she was celebrating her anniversary, 15th or so, and were in shock when she corrected them that it was her first time to marry.
