Seven suspected witchdoctors arrested for administering oath to Mombasa Republican Council members

Police in Kwale County on have arrested seven witch doctors and who were allegedly administering oath to the members of Mombasa Republican Council (MRC).

Matuga sub county AP Commandant Phidiliah Kisinyo said the suspects were arrested at Tiwi by police on Wednesday following tip off from the members of public.

“They were nine suspected witchdoctors who were seen by the members of the public in Tiwi. Two of them managed to escape,” she said.

She added that two of the arrested suspects are Tanzanian citizens who are in the country illegally.

They were found with witch craft paraphernalia that included horns, guards, red rugs and herbs.

 Kisinyo commended the members of public for the information and urged to continue doing the same in the future.
