KTN news anchor Lilian Muli, is finally engaged. The silver screen beauty received a sweet shock on Friday afternoon when her boyfriend gave her a surprise visit at the KTN offices and went down on one knee. The boyfriend — who the news anchor gave his name as initial K — arrived at the office shortly after 4pm with a wrapped gift, a cake with a "Will you marry me" message scribed on the icing. He then left only to return after a few minutes — this time, for Lilian’s response. "It was a big surprise. I was very excited. I mean, he went down on one knee and uttered the words: will you marry me before everyone. I think this was a big statement from him that, despite some of those negative publicity articles written on me (dating other men), he trusts and loves me," she said. The love -struck TV beauty broke into tears as she accepted the proposal. Her lover then gave her an engagement ring. "I cried like a baby. Look, here is the ring. He means a lot to me and taking this to the next step makes me a happier girl. We have been going out for the last four years and we are deeply in love," she told MondayBlues. The two have been spending quality time together and are looking forward to the big day. "He is a polite, quiet and hard working guy who does not like media publicity. I am protecting him from the glare of the public," she said. Cupid- stricken Lilian, go girl!

Kanye’s cousin in death probe

Investigation into the death of Kanye West’s mum have taken a dramatic twist – officials are now probing the rapper’s cousin, as reported in the Sun newspaer of the UK. Donda West, 58, died last month after she checked out of hospital to convalesce at home following a breast reduction operation. Her nephew Stephan Scoggins – a 46-year-old registered nurse – was assigned to supervise her post-surgery care alongside her assistant and a pal.

However, Stephan is said to have attended a baby shower the day after Donda was discharged from hospital, reports People.

The condition of Kanye’s mum deteriorated throughout the day, and Stephan was allegedly unreachable. Donda died that evening at an LA hospital. Despite facing intense scrutiny, the surgeon who operated on Donda, Dr Jon Adams, was cleared of any wrongdoing after a coroner ruled she died of "multiple post-operating factors" Now Stephan has reportedly been dragged into the investigation by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, which is calling on individuals "to testify in the matter of the investigation of Stephan Scoggins".

Balala’s soft spot for Naomi Campbell

It could be for her consistent tradition, her annual holiday visits to Kenya — which turns in thousands of dollars into the national tourism kitty — that Tourism Minister Najib Balala has a soft spot for renown international model Naomi Campbell. Last week, during a live TV show, the minister said he preferred Campbell over music star Beyonce Knowles. The presenter had wanted to know who among the two celebrities the minister preferred. "Naomi, any day…" he joked.

Jomino answers P Unit on Delmonte advert

The war between Jomino Entertainment and some artiste over the Una hit song has now taken a new twist. Even as P Unit and DNA maintain that their song was used in the Delmonte Fruitburst advert without their consent, Steve Waruta, Jomino Entertainment producer, denies the claims. Through a forward mail, the producer says: "First and foremost, the song Una belongs to Jomino Entertainment Limited. It was conceptualised, recorded, mixed and mastered at the Jomino Studios and is a collaboration between Jomino's artiste DNA and the P Unit trio.

"Secondly, Delmonte's Fruitburst music jingle produced at our studios through a local advertising agency, neither used the vocals nor the track of the song Una and consequently the P Unit trio has no claim whatsoever to the jingle or its proceeds for that matter." The puzzle continues.
