Joe Kadenge, retired footballer, has been
admitted at Metropolitan hospital after fainting on Thursday 4:02pm while
watching a match between Wazito FC and Zoo Kericho FC at Camp Toyoyo Stadium in
Nairobi yesterday.
He has been stabilized but still under further
medication. Kadenge was recently admitted few weeks ago though his medical
condition is untold.
The retired Harambee stars footballer was rushed
to hospital by Amref first aid nurse, Patricia Kamiri with her team mates
returning the patient to normal state. Speaking to me, she said the legend’s
age and a lot of heat might have been the main cause of his collapse.
"We were sitting with mzee watching
football. After sometime, he fell down and fainted. It might be due to a lot of
heat from the sun and maybe his age. I don’t know much about his medical
condition yet though I understand he was hospitalized few weeks ago, “said
Kamiri.
According to football affiliates, Kadenge was
sitting outside the changing rooms for the stadium where there was adequate
shade before he demanded to move to where technical bench seats so that he can
witness every move in the pitch.
Currently, the aging legend is under treatment as he asks Kenyans to pray for him.
