US President Barack Obama arrives in Kenya for three-day tour

Nairobi, Kenya: US President Barack Obama has arrived in Kenya. He landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) few minutes past 8pm Friday, aboard Air Force One and was received by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Auma Obama, Obama's half-sister, was among those who received the US President. She later boarded The Beast as Obama left the airport.

Obama received a bouquet of flowers from eight-year-old Joan Wamaitha . The US President also signed a visitors book at the airport.

Obama is in Kenya for the sixth Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) at Gigiri in Nairobi. The conference is expected to boost entrepreneurship and trade in Africa.

He is also set to address the public at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday before leaving for Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.

This is Obama's first visit to Kenya since he was elected president.
