Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua reshuffles his Cabinet to improve services

Governor Alfred Mutua has made changes in the county government in a bid to improve service delivery.

A statement circulated to media houses showed he had swapped Roads and Public Works Executive Kioko wa Luka with Joshua Musili, who previously headed the lands, environment and natural resources docket.

The public service, labour and ICT docket, previously under Jackson Kala, will now be headed by Grace Mutuku. Kala moves to education.

The health and emergency services docket went to Collins Kaia who used to head education, youth  and social welfare. Kennedy Auma will now head tourism, culture and sports docket.

Mr Mutua said the changes, which take effect immediately, are aimed at improving service delivery in the affected dockets for the residents' benefit.

The governor said he would not hesitate to take stern measures against any lax civil servant whose performance is found to be wanting.
