10 Al Shabaab terror suspects arrested among them two women suicide bombers

Kenya: Inspector General of police has disclosed that police through intelligence-led operation have arrested 10 Al Shabaab terror suspects who had planned to carry out revenge attacks in the country.

He said the suspects were linked to the recent terror attacks in Nairobi but could not disclose their identities saying investigations were still underway.

According to Mr Kimaiyo the suspects had sneaked out of the country to the home of the outlawed group in Somalia only to return into the country in October in the company of two women suicide bombers. He however said more information will be availed as investigations progress.

He urged landlords in Nairobi to take full details of persons renting their houses and share information with the nearest security agency. "I urge members of the public to be vigilant and cooperate with security agencies in eradicating threats of terror," the IG said.

The IG said police are at the moment investigating some leaders in Mombasa County who he accused of radicalizing the youth and inciting them to take arms and attack innocent citizens
