Agencies warn over ban on migrant workers to M East

Nairobi; Kenya: Agencies recruiting Kenyan workers for foreign nations have warned that the ban on export of manpower to the Middle East may cause multinationals to shun the country.

Last month, the Government banned recruitment agencies from sending Kenyans to work in the Middle East pending fresh vetting.

Meanwhile, human rights groups in Mombasa are set to meet Kenya's newly appointed high commissioners designated for Middle East nations and the Gulf to deliberate over ways to address the abuse of Kenyan domestic workers.

The envoys include those posted to Saudi Arabia, Oman and UAE.
