Manchester United opt to land on Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez if Pogba move fail

Jose Mourinho

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that his team is in a stable condition and the transfer options to Old Trafford are open.

Mourinho spoke amid Paul Pogba's transfer saga that has become imminent in British media.

According to the Sky sports, Juventus rejected a bid of £85m to land the France international at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Controversy

However, the Portuguese has refused to comment on Pogba’s transfer saga saying that United have the Power but cannot tie themselves to a ‘single market.’

"We are in a comfortable position but we know what it is wrong and what is right. We know what the balance is and, I repeat, we are not going to be only focusing on one player.” said Mourinho.

"We have two more options in front of us and we are going to close one." Added the special one.

Paul Pogba's agent denied on Thursday that a potential transfer had been finalised as reports indicated that Pogba’s barber confirmed the move on his Instagram account.

Second option

Mourinho added that Juventus is a world class economic club that cannot allow their players to leave so easily. They will “fight for their best players, to try and keep their best players.”

"Apart from that, we know other clubs are also involved and for us it is not, 'Are we going to win the race or lose the race?' It is not a race, it is just the market.” He said.

"When you go to the market, you have other options. You cannot focus on one, so we are in a very comfortable situation."

The Independent reported that Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez is on top of Mourinho’s transfer list and could seal United’s Pogba move.
