Manchester United transfer news and rumours: Henrikh Mkhitaryan available for £30.6m

Borussia Dortmund have backtracked on their stance over Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and are willing to sell the playmaker for £30.6million.

That is according to German publication Kicker, who say Dortmund have made a U-Turn and are now prepared to let the midfielder move on.

Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for the player's services following the arrival of Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Dortmund have already lost Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan this summer as they look to build on last season's second-placed Bundesliga finish.

Jose Mourinho is confident Manchester United will make a statement signing during his first summer transfer window.

Mourinho has prioritised signing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to the extent he vetoed a move for Miralem Pjanic , who joined Juve from Roma, although it is understood the Portuguese is pessimistic about United's chances amid intense competition for the France international and his world-record asking price.

Mourinho is intent on clinching at least four signings in his first summer transfer window as United manager. Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly became the Portuguese’s first arrival and Mourinho has also targeted a right midfielder, as well as a striker and a central midfielder.
