Jose Mourinho was recently crowned manager for Manchester United after the London based club axed Louis van Gaal earlier this week.

The standard on Saturday has learned that the chosen one comes in as one of the top paid football managers in the world.

According to mirror sports, here is the list of top paid managers in the football world.

10. Roberto Mancini - Inter Milan - £4.3million

Now in his second spell at Inter Milan, the former Manchester City manager took the Nerazzurri to a fourth place finish in Serie A in 2015-16 - but they were 13 points off the Champions League places.

9. Mauricio Pochettino - Tottenham - £5.5million

The Argentine coach signed a new deal at White Hart Lane earlier this month, after a third-place finish in the Premier League secured Champions League football next season.

8. Antonio Conte - Chelsea - £6.5million

The Italian won three successive Serie A titles with Juventus before departing to take charge of Italy in 2014. He Will leave the Azzurri for Chelsea after the European Championships.

7. Luis Enrique - Barcelona - £7million

The Spaniard returned to Barcelona in 2014 to replace Gerardo Martino, and has since claimed seven trophies - including back-to-back La Liga triumphs - in his two years at the Camp Nou helm.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss replaced Brendan Rodgers at Anfield in October and led the Reds to two cup finals in 2015-16. Is set to reshape his squad this summer, and they're expected to challenge for a top four spot next term.

A former Galactico at the Santiago Bernabeu, the French legend has ascended from coach of Los Blancos' second string to being Florentino Perez's pick to replace Rafa Benitez prior to Christmas. He Will hope to land his first major managerial honour and Real Madrid's 11th European Cup today.

After 20 years in charge the Frenchman continues in his role at Arsenal, despite some fan protests last term. Hasn't won the Premier League since 2004, but has never finished below Tottenham.
