Giggs brother talks affair between Ryan Giggs and waitresses following split rumours

Rhodri Giggs(R) has commented on rumours his brother Ryan Giggs has split from his wife (L)

The brother of Ryan Giggs has responded to reports the footballer has split from his wife.

Rhodri's own marriage ended after his wife revealed in 2011 that she had been sleeping with the Manchester United star for eight years.

It was reported today that Ryan's wife Stacey, 37, ended their marriage after finding out he was flirting with waitresses.

And it seems Rhodri is still bitter about the affair as he appeared to address the latest rumours in a tweet this morning.

A message from Man Utd Insights Twitter account referenced today's story as 'rubbish' but he replied "Smoke and fire comes to mind pal."

Giggs, the assistant manager at Manchester United, arrived at Old Trafford today ahead of the Barclays Premier League match between his club and Leicester City.

A source said the latest rumours were the last straw for Stacey after her efforts to keep the marriage going in the wake of the Manchester United legend’s affairs with Imogen Thomas and his brother’s wife Natasha.

Ryan, 42, has reportedly told friends: “It’s over for good”.

It is believed the couple parted three months ago, although they kept it a secret and continued to live in the same house.

Man United assistant manager Giggs apparently missed the Stoke match in February due to the split.

His wife told a friend: “There’s no way back. Ryan and I are finished.”

A source said: “Word got back to Stacey that Ryan had been flirting with some of the waitresses at George’s, and she had had enough.

“At one stage she is said to have told him to pack his bags and get out. But for the moment they both seem to be living in the same house.”

The couple tried to save their eight-year marriage after the revelation of his affairs for the sake of their two children.

A source said: “Time hasn’t proved a great healer.”

Giggs started a six-month affair with Imogen in 2010.
