Primary teacher accused of preying on female pupils

A primary school teacher in a Runyenjes sub-county school in Embu County has been accused of allegedly preying on pupils at the school.

According to sources privy to this information, the said teacher has been having secret early meetings with female pupils at the school where he assaulted them. Some pupils even went missing on some occasions especially on Fridays only to return to their homes on Sundays.

Irate parents stormed the school as they demanded for answers from the rogue teacher who had turned a poisonous venom on their daughters.

“He must be liable for atrocities committed to our daughters” said one of the parents.

It is alleged that the rogue teacher has been threatening his pupils as he continued molesting them. Efforts by parents to report the matter to the school headmaster hit a dead end as nothing was done to the ‘rogue’ teacher.

It is further said that parents had also reported the matter to District Education Officer of Runyenjes but nothing has been done yet.

To add insult into injury, the school Board of Management (BOM) chairman’s daughter was impregnated by the same teacher. The matter was silenced after the chairman’s pocket was ‘oiled’ with some huge amounts of money and he dropped the charges against the said teacher.

Parents are now demanding that the rogue teacher to be evicted from the school and be arrested for professional misconduct.
