Rafa Benitez: Bale and Benzema are set to stay in Spain

Rafa Benitez insists Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale will be staying with Real Madrid.

French striker Benzema has been linked with Arsenal in recent times, with reports over the weekend suggesting they l had set aside around £45m for the player

Arsene Wenger denied he would be making a move for Benzema after Sunday's Community Shield and Benitez fully expects him to stay in the Spanish capital.

"Benzema will stay with us," he told reporters ahead of the Audi Cup tournament.

"I can't see any reason why he would leave. We are very happy with him."

Meanwhile, Manchester United have again been linked with Gareth Bale as a replacement for PSG-bound Angel Di Maria.

But Benitez is adamant the Welshman, like Benzema, will stay at the Bernabeu.

"He is a huge player for us, we will not talk about offers," he said.

"I know he wants to play well and is happy."

United stopper David De Gea continues to be linked with Real - with Louis van Gaal now considering selling his No.1.

De Gea will not sign a new deal at Old Trafford and with Los Blancos ready to wait a year to get him, it has been suggested he is distracted by talk of a move away.

But Benitez added: "I have said in five press conferences that I do not want to talk about players on other teams.

"I speak of my goalkeepers and no other goalkeepers."
