Louis van Gaal apologises to wife’s hairdresser for beating Manchester City

Louis van Gaal has said sorry to the hairdresser of his wife for Manchester United's emphatic derby win over neighbours City.

The Old Trafford club humbled their local rivals 4-2 at Old Trafford to record their first Premier League win over the Citizens since 2012.

Of course, the result couldn't please everyone, and Van Gaal had an apology to make to his wife Truu's Man City-mad hairdresser.

"I'm sorry for you Dawn, but we have to win and we were the better team today," the Dutchman told MUTV.

The result leaves United in third position - four points clear of City who have now lost 10 matches in all competitions since the turn of the year.

United, on the other hand, will go into next weekend's clash with Chelsea in good spirits on the back of a six-game winning streak in the league.
