Football: Ezekiel Otuoma disappointed with debut result

Although it’s a disappointing debut for Ezekiel Otuoma after  Ulinzi Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to Sony Sugar in their Kenyan Premier League season opener at Afraha Stadium last Saturday, he is still pleased to made his first appearance for the club.

Marwa Chamberi and Samwel Onyango scored a goal in each half to hand the former Muhoroni Youth striker a losing debut at the 2010 KPL champions.

“Well, I had hoped to get a winning debut but then we lost which was something sad. It was great at least getting the playing time and a chance to be with the boys and I think there were a lot of positives to pick from there. We played well, created chances but luck was not on our side,” Otuoma told the club’s official website.

“We shift our focus to the next game and we must now work hard to rectify the mistakes which denied us victory against Sony and I believe in the team that we will bounce back to great results.”
