Sports cabinet secretary Hassan Wario (above) on Friday unveiled the Kenya Academy of Sports (KAS) recruitment at the Kasarani stadium. The national selection that targets young talent in various sports will also be devolved to the counties.
“The country needs sportsmen and women to develop. To achieve this, we need to identify talented players at a young age so they can be nurtured to become professionals,” Wario said, as he urged the players from Nairobi County who turned up for the recruitment to work hard so they can make a living from their talent.
