Arsene Wenger blasts the officials after Arsenal drop two points to Hull City

Arsene Wenger blasted the officials after his side dropped two points at home to Hull City.

The Gunners led through Alexis Sanchez, but were left fuming by Momo Diame's equaliser for what they perceived as a foul on Mathieu Flamini. Abel Hernandez looked to have won the game for the Tigers until a late Danny Welbeck leveller, but Wenger remained angry at Diame's strike.

"It is a very disappointing result because we were very unlucky with the referee's decision for the first goal," said the Gunners boss.

"They had two shots and scored two goals but we had to keep going and that saved us a point in the end. It is a long time since we've dominated so much and not won the game."

Wenger was also left exasperated by his side's inability to make the most of their second-half domination.

"Look at the shots on goal; how many times did they come into our half? They defended well and we made it difficult for ourselves by giving them a second goal. Sometimes the team that takes the initiative doesn't win. We tried our best and we can only look at ourselves.

"We have conceded too many goals and we have to look at ourselves defensively. Some other teams have bought many defenders and concede goals as well. I think it's a matter of concentration."

Arsenal have now won just two of their opening eight Premier League games and lie way off the title pace.
