Schools cricket¨Obuya win under-13 title

Obuya Cricket Academy beat Oshwal School by nine wickets in the final of the Under-13 match of the Crown Paints-sponsored tournament at Jaffreys, yesterday.

Oshwal were all out for 77 in 15 overs. Obuya scored 78 for two in 12 overs. Best performance was by Ali Khan of Obuya Academy with 26 runs. Khan was also declared the best batsman of the tournament with 150 runs.

Best bowlers were David Mutua of Peponi School with 8 wickets. Best wicket-keeper was Hash Gudka (Oshwal School), while the best fielder was Ishan Kantaria (Peponi School).

In the Under-15 category, Obuya Academy won by a massive 10 wickets against Oshwal who batted first.

The best performance from Oshwal were from Aniket Gudka, who scored 22 runs.

Rahul Seedhar scored 47 runs not out, and was also voted the best batsman in that category with 181 runs.

The best bowler was Adash Shar of Oshwal with eight wickets. The best wicket-keepers Shivan Shar of Nairobi South and the best fielder was Aniket Gudka (Oshwal). The Most Promising Player was Gian Waral (Obuya Cricket Academy)
