FOOTBALL: AFC Leopards midfielder Peter Opiyo out for trials at Finland club

 

AFC Leopards midfielder Peter Opiyo (top) has left the country to attend trials in Finland.
The player left immediately after Sunday’s Confederations Cup match against SuperSport United of South Africa where he was substituted by Jacob Keli.
AFC Leopards acting Chief Executive Richard Ekhalie confirmed the player declined to renew his contract opting to leave for Finland. “His contract was coming to an end next week and despite our efforts to renew the same he completely declined our offer. We have no choice but to let him go,” said Ekhalie.
