Jose Mourinho insists he will be back in management "soon"

Mourinho reacts to a question in an interview for Chelsea

Jose Mourinho is desperate to return to management and has indicated he will remain in England, in his first interview since leaving Chelsea.

The Portuguese has reportedly held talks with Manchester United in recent weeks over the possibility of replacing Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.

Mourinho has kept a low profile since being sacked by Chelsea in December with the Premier League champions struggling at the wrong end of the table.

But in his first interview since being axed by the Blues, Mourinho has revealed his determination to get back in the game as soon as possible.

In an interview with GQ , the Portuguese discussed what he has been doing since leaving Chelsea - while driving a new Jaguar car on the snow.

“To be fully happy I need everything, so I go back to football. I think it’s my natural habitat. I have worked since I can remember, and as a manager since 2000. For sure, I will be back soon," he said.

Mourinho has been heavily linked with the Manchester United job and while he didn't mention the Red Devils, he indicated he would remain in the Premier League.

He added: "At this moment I don’t have a job, and I don’t know where football will take me, because in football you never know. But for sure for sure for sure, as a family, our home will still be England."
