Remember sometime in September when we hinted that something was cooking between First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and South African star Yvonne Chaka Chaka?
Heads Up has now established that the two are actually working together to eradicate the HIV stigma.
On December 9, Yvonne paid the First Lady a courtesy call at State House, Nairobi.
Yvonne was accompanied by her adopted son, 11-year-old Kenyan boy, Elijah Zacchary Lamaiyan Simel, who is a pupil at Nyamai Academy.
Aside from her Beyond Zero campaign, the First Lady, is keen on eradicating the stigma brought about by the disease.
“We should keep on talking about the disease to increase access to HIV information and services and therefore reduce stigma,” the First Lady said.
Mrs. Kenyatta met the Goodwill Ambassador for Malaria in Africa during a high-level event of African first ladies on maternal and newborns’ health beyond 2014.
