Evans Arama, the city doctor alleged to have attempted to rape a patient, Christine Naliaka, has gone into hiding days after he was exposed.

The 25-year-old woman, in an interview with The Nairobian, claimed the doctor inserted a metallic object into her, leading to the abortion of her baby after she refused to have sex with the doctor.

On July 31, hours after responding to The Nairobain about the allegations at St Benedict’s Clinic, the doctor jumped through the window when he saw police officers accompanying reporters from local television stations.

Three days after sharing the ordeal, Christine Naliaka was on August 3, taken to Mama Lucy Hospital for further examination.

The medical report from the hospital now in our possession, reveals that a foreign object was inserted into her, resulting in heavy bleeding.

“On the material day, the patient was given unknown tablets to make her unconscious after which the doctor undressed her claiming the tablets would work only if she had sex with him. Unfortunately, the patient realised the trick and attempted to fight her way out, but the doctor overpowered her,” the hospital document reads.

A doctor who examined Naliaka recommended five days bed rest and prescribed blood boosting drugs. Though the case was officially filed at Lunga Lunga Police Post, an officer attached to Villa Police Post in Embakasi revealed to The Nairobian that some of the doctor’s alleged victims have also reported the medic to their post.
