Kimunya: My daughter is not married to Ndolo's son

City News

Amos Kimunya

Former finance minister Amos Kimunya has denied that his daughter is married to Nairobi politician Reuben Ndolo’s son. He was responding to a story that run in The Nairobian where the former Makadara legislature claimed that his son is married to Kimunya.

“I do not have a daughter married to Ndolo’s son. Check with him to clarify who his son is,” the former Kipipiri legislator claimed.

“My daughter is happily engaged to someone else.”During an interview in his office along Mama Ngina Street in Nairobi, Ndolo said his son was married to Kimunya’s daughter.

“My third born son is actually married to former minister Amos Kimunya’s daughter, just to show how diverse and nationalistic my family is” he had said.

But when we contacted Ndolo to set the record straight, the former boxer said, “My son is married to Kimunya’s sister’s daugher. Your sister’s daughter is your daughter, so he should not complain,” he said.

Ndolo hit headlines when he was once quoted telling crowd, “Ukiona hao, weka taya (if you see them, lynch them)!” in reference to Kenya Power employees who were disconnecting illegal power connections in a slum in his constituency.

But when he was challenged later, he denied having incited the crowd and claimed he had said, “Ukiona hao, weka taya gari iende" (if you see them, repair the puncture so that that the vehicle can go)
