Vera’s new spongy ‘twins’ pop on canvas

Lifestyle

Vera sidika

Vera Sidika’s latest transformation has caught the eye of top city artist Michael Soi.

The socialite recently returned to Kenya and instantly posted pictures starring her ‘new boobies.’ “Feels good to be back...,” she wrote, “...had really missed Nairobi. Now...y’all be nice and say hello to my new twins.”

She was referring to her new boobs.

This did not go unnoticed by Soi, a sharp-eyed social commentator.

On July 27, Soi posted, “The socialite and her new set of twins” on his Facebook page.

The piece features a buxom woman with an equally generous rear, standing beside two men in suits and ties and who cannot hide their fixation with her ‘twins.’

Below her is a small girl, craning her neck as she looks at the woman’s bosom in wonderment.

Soi’s post attracted numerous comments from his fans who reminded him to ‘remove the tint’ just like Vera did.

“The less-than-a-month-old, silicone-modified twins can stand and walk on their own courtesy of a few million Nairas.

Chinekeeeeee!” wrote one of the fans.

It took two hours for Soi to complete the 100cm x 80 cm piece.

“I spent an hour and a half on her dress. I use a lot of flat colours, so I paint really fast,” said the Godown Arts Centre artist.

Soi who recently came back from South Korea and the US has gained huge following with socially sensitive pieces.

The series on ‘China Loves Africa,’ which takes a sideways glance at the lopsided trade between China and African nations, has proved to be a global hit.

Then there is the ‘Omari’ series which features a young man, who though married, has a taste for foreign women, especially white.

Soi uses his paint and brush to expose what goes on in strip joints in town.

These places, which incidentally don’t come cheap, are patronised by well-heeled men who under normal circumstances pass themselves off as respectable members of the society.

Soi’s aim is to unmask the hypocritical nature of our society.
