How Sh17M traded hands before 2 Chainz flop

Showbiz

2 chainzJameson East Africa, the sponsors of the flopped 2 Chainz Nairobi concert are said to have paid up to Sh17 million to the firm contracted to secure the rapper’s deal, Pulse has established. The money does not include the American Grammy award nominee’s air tickets, accommodation and per diem fee.

According to an insider, Kiss 100, the official media sponsors, were kept in the dark and could not establish that 2 Chainz was not coming until Friday afternoon, barely hours before his planned Saturday performance. Pulse has also established that the last communication between 2 Chainz and the event planners was done in October 15, two weeks before the show date.

A lady by the name Cherop is adversely mentioned in the flopped deal. 3,000 tickets, most worth Sh5,000 and others for Sh2,000 are now being held by Nairobi revellers who had booked the flopped show, as they hold on to renewed hope that 2 Chainz will do a make-up show come December 12.

On Wednesday this week, Pulse had established that the Kiss 100 management, Jameson and the event organisers held a critical meeting to find a way forward with the blame going to the events managers. Keep it here as the truth unfolds.
