Bucie for Ubantu Festival

The spirit of Ubantu is upon us this weekend courtesy of the Ubantu Festival at Enashipai Spa and Resort, Naivasha, tomorrow night. This is a quarterly music festival and movement that encourages the solidarity of Africans worldwide and is based on the belief that the African people both on the continent and in the Diaspora share not only common history, but also common destiny. The headline acts will include the super talented Queen of House, Bucie from South Africa performing alongside Kenya’s Fena Gitu, Jack Rooster, DJs Drazen, Somi, Panik, Sesi and N Kai. Advance charges are Sh2,000 and Sh3,000 at the gate.

Simphiwe for Koroga Festival

Enjoy smooth music, cool mixes, interactive activities, fashion shows and much more courtesy of the bi-monthly music and arts festival, that is the Koroga Festival. The event features performances from DJs Adrian, Protégé, Atemi and Amileena alongside South Africa’s Afro-soul singer Simphiwe Dana who will be headlining the festival. The festival goes down at Nairobi Arboretum this Sunday. Advance charges are Sh1,500 and Sh2,000 at the gate.

Natives host P-Unit Album Tour

The award-winning all-boy genge group P-Unit, continue their exciting album tour and performances this weekend. The trio will entertain music lovers alongside Avril, comedians Fred Omondi, Chipukeezy and DJs Joe, I Jay and the resident DJs tonight at Natives on Thika Road. Ordinary charges are Sh300 and Sh500 for VIP.

The Jumia Street Fashion Festival

This is the premiere of the only major fashion event in the region that gives all fashion enthusiasts whether tall, short, dark or light skinned, an opportunity to showcase their runway prowess. More so the event gives fun lovers a chance to express their fashion sense, their style and swag. It features a red-carpet affair, photography by professionals, VIP chilling lounge, fashion classes, freestyle runway, kids’ zone and much more. It goes down at Nairobi Arboretum tomorrow.

Eric Wainaina for Sayari Live

The popular eclectic musical concert Sayari Live goes down at Carnivore grounds tomorrow night. This is a year-ender edition and features live performances from two of Kenya’s most accomplished musicians Dan Aceda and Eric Wainaina. The show goes all night with plenty of refreshments during and after the show. Advanced charges are Sh800 and Sh1,000 at the gate.

The Open Mic at Imax

This is a musical and poetry themed event that provides a platform to upcoming and established poets and artistes alike to mingle through music and various word play sessions. It is part of the unchained open mic tour headlined by poet kings Mufasa, Teardrops and MC Cindy Ogana. The event goes down at Arfa Lounge, Imax Cinema tonight. Charges are Sh300.

Harry Kimani at Choices

Roots International continues their popular musical series Thursday Nite Live at Choices Pub and Restaurant. This edition features a live performance from award winning musician and composer Harry Kimani. The concert will go on all night.

Mista Dru at G Skyye

Catch spin master DJ Mista Dru as he spins and thrills fans at the new social hangout G Skyye lounge in Westlands tonight.

Karaoke with Kendi

Be entertained by the talented and versatile songbird Kendi as she hosts and thrills fans at her weekly karaoke night competition and talent search at Club Rumourz on Moi Avenue, which continues this Wednesday. The karaoke competition gives participants a chance to win Sh200,000 among other cash prizes.

Pwani Celebrity Awards

The second edition of Pwani Celebrity Awards goes down at Club Fan Fun in Mtwapa, tomorrow night. The event that celebrates artistes from the Coast will feature performances from upcoming Mombasa artistes among them Dazla BMG and Kigoto Monde. A popular Nigerian artiste, PRE, jets in on Monday for a series of projects in Nairobi. Known for his song High Grade, the singer, a billionaire’s son will host the media to a number of press conference before making appearances in a number of showbiz events in the city. He is being hosted by Play Communications in collaboration with Taurus Group Limited.
