After lashing out at upcoming singer Papa Dennis over his new video estimated at Sh2.8 million, gospel artiste Ringtone has received a mock invitation from the singer's management to join him as a back-up artiste.
"Accusing Papa Dennis for shooting expensive videos in South Africa and United States where he is going next will not stop us from making Papa Dennis the international artiste we want to package him in to. We think Ringtone is simply scared that once the new video is out, Papa Dennis will overshadow him and in this case, we are welcoming him to apply to work with him, even as a back-up artiste," Maureen Obare who manages Papa Dennis under Sadat Muhindi's Maliza Umaskini charity project said.
"We just don't get what Ringtone's problem is. Probably, he just want to catch our attention so we can offer him sponsorship too. In this case, he can apply during the next talent search auditions next year," she added.
On Friday, Ringtone alluded that some local artiste were faking their showbiz life picking the Makekes singer as an example.
