Kimani Mbugua seeks help after being robbed during live TikTok

A few months ago, Kimani received overwhelming support from Kenyans during an online fundraiser led by digital content creator Nyako.

Initially asking for Sh200k to start a business due to financial difficulties, the fundraiser surpassed expectations, gathering Sh420,000, with contributions eventually reaching Sh500,000.

Overjoyed by the support, Kimani said, "Thank you! Thank you so much. I never would have imagined ingekuwa hivi. I am so grateful to all of you. Asanteni sana."

Kimani, who has been open about his struggles since losing his job in 2020, also shared insights into his battle with mental health.

In an Instagram post, he detailed a manic episode linked to his bipolar disorder.

"I had a manic episode that started a day before Christmas and lasted for about a week. I know those who live with bipolar understand what I am talking about. I had some deep, unresolved issues that kept

Kimani further highlighted the challenges and the importance of support on his healing journey.

"Unfortunately for me, I lost that particular battle, and everything spiraled out of control. The journey of healing is filled with many trials, and I want to thank you guys for being part of my journey. I have felt the love ...asanteni sana," said Kimani.
