How to efficiently pack for the holidays

December is almost here, and let’s face it, everyone is about to get into that holiday spirit. The kind that makes suitcases and travel bags our best friends as we seek adventure and travel across different parts of the world.

Truth be told, many people would give anything to skip the packing hassle and dive right into their holiday destinations. At least, I know I would!

So recently I looked up a few ways to make holiday packing fun and ensure that you carry all the essentials and avoid too much baggage or random buys because you forgot something, and most importantly have some fun.

Have a check list.

Holiday check lists are essential especially when traveling to new destinations. One can easily forget the important things last minute, but a packing checklist can salvage the situation.

Start with the most essential, from toothbrushes, inner wear, towels, to outfits, depending on what you will need

Pick a convenient travel bag

Based on how heavy or light you are packing , pick a travel bag that suits your needs from handy back packs to spacious suitcases

Also consider your means of transport, as you don’t want to struggle carrying multiple back packs, yet a stroller suitcase would have come in handier.

Maximize on space

Your travel bag space, can determine how much or how little you will carry. Based on your holiday check list, start with the big things first such as towels, and then fill the remaining space with other items such as socks, swim suits and toiletries.

Tag your luggage and travel safe

Fun and excitement have often seen many people misplace their luggage at airports and stopovers. Then again, chances of someone else having a suitcase like yours may be high.

To avoid such moments, tag your travel bags with a visible name tags that includes your contact details just in case they are misplaced.

Essence of a holiday is to take time out, loosen up and have some fun!

Once you kick into your holiday destinations, take time off from the world and get into the spirit.

Avoid over thinking what you may have forgotten or constantly checking your social media profiles and just live in the moment.
