Kaz for Thursday Nite Live

Roots International continues its popular weekly musical series this coming Thursday and features the soulful and seasoned Kaz Lucas. The multi-award winning songbird’s interest in music and theatre began at an early age when she attended primary school at St Andrews Turi, a British curriculum school in Kenya, where she actively participated in musical productions as well as the school choir. Kaz also took a keen interest in learning various musical instruments including the piano, African drums and flute. The party goes down at Choices Pub and Restaurant on Baricho road.

The One Day Peace Concert

The Kenya Performing Arts Group (KPAG), one of the most reputable groups in the performing arts industry, hosts the One Day Peace Concert at the Nairobi Arboretum this Sunday. The institution is known for identifying, nurturing, developing and expressing exceptional talent through music, dance and theatre and provides a platform for live performances from upcoming as well as top acts including Eric Wainaina, Rabbit, Juliani, Larry Asego, DJ Slim B, DJ By Mistake, Kenneth B and Obina among others. Charges are Sh1,000.

The Story Moja Hay Festival

The collective writer’s powerhouse, Storymoja, continues to celebrate its trademark Storymoja Hay Festival at Nairobi National Museum this weekend. Organised in collaboration with Storymoja and the United Kingdom (UK) Hay Festival, this four-day affair celebrates our literary culture and attracts over 15 local and international writers, poets, media personalities and musicians. This year’s festival theme is: Imagine the World! Waza Dunia! The evergreen Sauti Sol will perform at the show.

Ebony Hosts All-White Party

Ebony Lounge in Westlands will host the exclusive All White Party tonight. DJs Joe Mfalme, Andre, Hypnotiq, Mobi, Pierra, Stretch, Slick and Lenny will be the headline acts. The party will be in celebration of showbiz entrepreneur, Amor Thige.

Festival of Creative Arts presents a plot twisting hilarious play dubbed Forbidden at Alliance Française this weekend. The play is about an unsuccessful bank robbery after the getaway car fails to pick up the robbers resulting in carjacking a taxi which then gets involved in an accident. It features a star studded cast of Janet Kirina, Nick Ndeda, Maina Olwenya, Xavier Nato, Nice Githinji, Hellena Waithera, directed by Veronica Waceke and Mbeki Mwalimu. Advance charges are Sh400 and Sh500 at the gate.

Burn Events Kenya hosts the Burn Launch Party at G-Skyye Lounge tomorrow night. This is its biggest and grandest event franchise yet.
