Heads Up’s little birdie in the House on the Hill (State House) whispered to us that he may also have shared a meal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“He was supposed to meet the president on September 16, but that was not possible as he (Uhuru) had just landed from abroad. However, word had it that State House was to host him before the end of the week,” said our source.
We still don’t know what the two would be discussing but then again, they wouldn’t lack a starting point seeing that they have a friend in common, Akon!
President Uhuru met Akon and even took selfies during the US-Africa Leadership Summit hosted by President Obama a month ago.
Heads Up also exclusively learnt that Akon is around and met the President on Thursday September 18 at State House for lunch. This is the second time that Akon and Wyclef are in Kenya at the same time, having shared the stage in 2009 during the MTV Africa Awards.
On the other hand, Uhuru could share tips on how to win an election, since the Haiti hip-hop star Wyclef Jean, in 2010, tried to vie for the presidency but was disqualified on grounds he was not legally a resident.
Meanwhile, Heads Up has established that Rabbit and Wyclef’s collabo, which was recorded on September 16, will be hitting our airwaves really soon.
