Former Gor Mahia’s striker, Ramadhan Mohammed Salim, has been invited to train with the Bloemfontein Celtic, a South African football club.
According to SoccerLaduma, a soccer publication, Salim is hoping to impress them enough to win a contract with the team. The Celtic plays in the Premier Soccer League and quite popular amongst the South Africans.
The publication also reports that Salim was to start training on Monday in a friendly game.
Some South African soccer fans are however not too pleased with this development. In their opinion, Salim looks way too old to be the 21 years he says he is.
This has sparked an online battle between the South Africans and the Kenyans who have strongly come out to defend their own.
