Milk processors have upped the ante in their campaign to woo more Kenyans to consume processed dairy products ahead of the festive season.
The campaign dubbed “Dairy Has It All” brought together representatives of Eldoville, Happy Cow, Daima, New KCC, Afya, Brookside, Ilara, Molo, Tuzo, Delamere, Kinagop and Mountain Fresh, under their lobby, Kenya Dairy Processors Association (KDPA).
Through the association, milk processors distributed their products to several churches in Nairobi and its environs yesterday to be given to visitors and serve the hospitality departments.
“This is part of our corporate responsibility and we are promoting consumption of safe processed products, not only fresh milk, but yoghurt, cheese, ghee, butter and cream as well, just to mention a few,” said Eldoville Managing Director, Lucy Karuga.
The association’s chairman and outgoing New KCC Managing Director, Dr Kipkirui Lang’at, said KDPA is determined to ensure the proportion of Kenyans who consume processed dairy products increases. “It is our belief that at the end of this campaign, more Kenyans will have milk as their drink of choice,” he said.
