Two men found themselves in court after allegedly stoning vehicles carrying a social media activist accused of defaming Kiambu governor William Kabogo.

Waime Mburu had been charged at a Mombasa court and imprisoned at Shimo La Tewa Prison on January 8, 2016 for using his social media page to falsely accuse Kabogo of purchasing 1,000 acres in Kwale County.
