Wiese, who has six caps for Germany, made the switch from football to wrestling in late 2014 and has been training for his in-ring debut.

The 34-year-old made his first WWE appearance during a live event in Frankfurt shortly after signing, but he is finally set to step into the ring.

Wiese will team with established stars Cesaro and Sheamus in a six-man tag-team match in Munich on November 3.

They will take on recognised tag-team The Shining Stars, who will team up with Bo Dallas during a live event at the Olympiahalle in Munich.

Wiese, who stands at 6ft 4in tall and weighs 129kg, is looking forward to making his debut in front of what should be a raucous home crowd.

“It’s awesome to make my first WWE appearance in such a great match,” he said. “I worked hard for this moment and I can't wait to step into the WWE ring together with Cesaro and Sheamus."

Wiese has been training daily at a gym in Cologne, where a specially-made ring has been constructed.

Former WWE champion Triple H added: “As a former elite professional athlete, Tim knows what it takes to focus on a goal and go all-out to achieve it.

“It will be a historic night for WWE in Germany when Tim steps into the ring alongside Cesaro and Sheamus."

Wiese made 386 career appearances for Fortuna Koln, Kaiserslautern, Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim, before opting for his career change.
