Sofapaka are literally fighting for their lives and tomorrow's fixture against Gor Mahia at Nyayo Stadium could not have come at a worse time.

The 2009 Kenyan Premier League champions are having their worst season with relegation fears hanging on their heads every week.

Sofapaka are currently 15th on the log after picking just 15 points. They need at-least five wins in their next six matches to be safe and looking at how their season has been so far, it is unlikely that they will achieve this.

Tomorrow's fixture does not make it easier for Sofapaka considering that Gor Mahia are keen to pick all three points in their quest to overtake Tusker at the top of the log.

It does not make it any better for Sofapaka when you consider that Gor Mahia have won three of their last five league matches and this gives them an edge.

Sofapaka coach David Ouma is back in the team after being away with Harambee Starlets who were runners-up in the just-concluded regional senior challenge cup in Uganda.

Ouma will be hoping that the experience he has picked with Starlets will come in handy against Gor Mahia.

Sofapaka have recruited a number of experienced players in their quest to survive relegation.

Gor Mahia are enjoying a good run after picking maximum points against Chemelil Sugar and Ulinzi Stars and this should propel them to victory.

Troubled AFC Leopards, desperate to bounce back to winning ways, will be at Nyayo Stadium today against Western Stima.

There has been trouble at the den since the season started leading to the sacking of former coach Ivan Minnaert. New coach Ezekiel Akwana started on the wrong footing by going down 1-2 to Bandari last weekend.

Another relegation battle goes down in Mombasa where Nairobi City Stars play away to Bandari.
