Coalition for reforms and democracy (CORD) has called off tomorrow’s anti-IEBC protests to allow dialogue after consultations with members of business community, church leaders and other stakeholders.

Machakos senator Johnston Muthama has said CORD will not hold demonstrations on Monday, adding that by Wednesday evening is when they will decide whether there will be anti-IEBC protests on Thursday.

The CORD secretariat said the decision came after extensive consultations with members of the business community and other relevant stakeholders.

“We have decided to give room for dialogue but response must come in the next 48 hours. If no response from Jubilee, we will resume our demonstrations,” said Siaya senator James Orengo.
