Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has accused Senator Moses Wetang'ula of supporting his rival in the forthcoming General Election.

Mr Lusaka said that instead of leaders uniting and working together for the betterment of the county, some are planning how to remove others from their seats. He was speaking yesterday at Lurende Pefa Church in Kabuchai Constituency during a fundraiser in aid of the church.

"I am very much disappointed with my teacher and senior in politics Moses Wetang'ula. Why are you fronting Wycliffe Wangamati to succeed me when I am still alive? Instead of us uniting and working together, you are busy campaigning against me. This is unfair," said Lusaka.

The governor said he is ready to face Wetang'ula and his cronies head on because they are the ones who "started propagating lies".

"I am not a failure at all. The public can testify that since I took over the mantle of leading this county, I have tried. I have set up many projects ranging from roads, education, health care and agriculture," he said.
