Women MPs want their male counterparts to ensure the Gender Bill is unanimously passed come Thursday next week, Meru Woman Representative Florence Kajuju (above) has said.

Ms Kajuju said female MPs would work very hard to get the 38 additional MPs required to pass the bill that gives women more representation.

"We are very happy with the 195 MPs who voted for it, and between now and Thursday we will be lobbying male MPs who voted against it,” she said.
