I cannot remember the last time I had a well cooked meal unless I cooked it myself. The mojo is gone. The magic is no more. Mothers no longer sit with their baby girls in the kitchen and teach them how to prepare something that would actually make you lick your fingers. Girls would rather sit in the bedroom on their phone all day and chat. I wonder what learning is sought in chatting.
The modern, classy, high-heeled, lipstick and always on the phone girl, who seems to be perfect on the eye lacks something. She cannot cook.
I blame the supermarkets first. My friend got married last month and got a beautiful house with an awesome kitchen. I can set camp in there! Believe me when I say he is the only one who steps in that kitchen to cook. The funny thing about it is that the girl he married is basically a housewife. Doesn’t even make sense. He says that his wife usually buys ready-made food from the supermarket every evening. I told him I would rent the kitchen then since it has no use. Supermarkets nowadays are filled with cooks who prepare every kind of meal. This sets laziness to the wife who is supposed to cook.
I also blame this on the 3-minute market products nowadays. Indomie and pasta that only require boiling. Food is prepared for 3 minutes and I am supposed to believe that it’s good enough? Well, I don’t know but it seems rather fast to me. Even fast food takes time to prepare.
What happened to the girls who never left the kitchen when the mom was cooking? What happened to the girlfriend that would blow you away with her food not her looks? What really happened to the active girl who would go buy groceries and cook something for the family?
Easy. She’s on the phone, in her room, chatting with her ‘friends’ and gossiping about a party that happened 3 weeks ago. She’s probably waiting for evening to come so she can avoid the sun and go to the supermarket and buy supper. She’s probably waiting on her man to cook for her.
Ladies: The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Find that path and use it.
