Global Entrepreneurship Summit delegates ‘karibu’ to magical Kenya

Besides the majestic UN headquarters at Gigiri in Nairobi where more than 4,000 delegates converge for the sixth Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), Kenya is a wonderful destination for tourism and investment. It is a melting point for numerous opportunities, warm people and endless adventures. The spectacular wildebeest migration at the world famous Masai Mara happens around this time and the GES delegates are most welcome there.

For those thrilled by wild animals, you can get up-close with the big five namely; lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino at the Nairobi National Park, which is just about 3km from the city centre. Further afield, we have the coastal city of Mombasa for a beach experience, where you get a feel of the warm sun and unforgettable hospitality. The Rift Valley offers nature’s scenic view of the earth’s creation. Indeed, the Rift Valley happens to be the home of most world famous long distance runners.

The Western tourism circuit offers a spectacular landscape with unique bird species, wild animals and stone carvings. The Mt Kenya region offers a vast area with a cool climate and thriving agriculture of various crops. Coffee and tea are the most dominant cash crop. The Lake region, where US President Barack Obama’s father hails from, offers a rich culture and a warm climate.

Indeed, as delegates engage Kenyan entrepreneurs at the summit, they would also be rich for it by touring around the country. There are many activities to engage in and meet a diverse people across the country. We, as Kenyans, welcome you to our country now and in future.

Karibuni.
