Two months after releasing his Moe Musa-directed Foundation video featuring Daddy Owen, fresh gospel act Papa Dennis has gifted his fans with yet another video Njoo, that features Tonzi, a gospel singer from Rwanda.

The new song was shot by celebrated video producer Godfather in Nairobi last month and it features Esther Wahome among other showbiz acts.

Away from the good life swag of the South Africa-filmed Injili video released last year, Njoo presents a simple concept that weaves around a theme of a young man winning souls for God as he portrays church as a cool place to be.

It all starts will Papa Dennis visiting the club. He finds Pulsers partying and invites them to church. A drunken girl becomes the center of attraction; she later goes to church and gets converted. The clips are successful in bringing out this concept.

The well-choreographed dance moves both by the two singers and the dance troupe give the video life, an aspect that keeps the viewer glued through the entire video. It starts slow and transcends to full thrill as everyone joins in the dance leading it into a good climax.

The editing is perfect but the video feels a bit busy. Much more could have been done to bring out the two key themes, i.e. the club scene versus the church scene.
