Rift Valley based Kalenjin gospel musician, Israel (Elvin Koech), of the Ee beek chemi terengung (be faithful) fame was attacked in a woman’s house on June 28 by another woman claiming to be his fiancée.

Jacqueline Jepkemoi, his lover of three years, reportedly stormed the house after she was alerted by a neighbour and found the artiste sitting on a sofa with another woman.

She allegedly created a scene, hurling sufurias and plates at her man and the woman she suspected to be his mpango wa kando, bringing the neighbourhood to a standstill. The two reportedly met at a function in 2012 when she was in form two. But she says she was later shocked to learn that romantic text messages sent to her were forwarded to other girls.

“We found about four women baying for his blood,” said a police officer who revealed that the gospel musician called the station after being cornered by his lover. Israel however termed allegations as malicious. He claimed that he was just dropping a lady friend when Jacqueline stormed in.

“It is true there was a confrontation, but I have never dated her as Jacqueline claims. She is being used by my competitors but I will not sit back and watch her soil my name,” he warned.
