ACCA Kenya launches online learning platform

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in collaboration with edX has launched an online platform, ACCA-X, for accessing professional courses in accounting and finance.

Through ACCA-X, open access courses will be delivered on the world-renown edX platform, an online learning destination founded by Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard. Head of ACCA Kenya Anthony Kariuki said the creation of ACCA-X followed the desire to provide ambitious individuals anywhere with the opportunity to obtain skills and qualifications they can use for a rewarding career.

"We believe that ACCA-X will attract a diverse range of talent to the profession, broaden access to learning and allow more learners to gain valuable financial literacy skills and prepare for the ACCA Qualification," he added.

Anant Agarwal, the chief executive of edX, commended ACCA's commitment to innovation in delivering business-relevant content to meet the diverse needs of professionals and learners.
